The start of a new year always has a way of making us reflect on the previous year.  If we could describe our year in one word it would be “GROWTH.” Growth in a company can be a wonderful thing, but you have to be able to manage the growth. Attaway has done a good job at making sure we have the people and resources in place to best serve our clients, maintain our recent growth and expand with future projects in 2017. We are looking forward to this next year but first, let’s look back.

We added some new team members…

We added John Phillips for our project management and business development team. John came from GSC and has a vast background in Commercial and Government Construction. He graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science and also studied Building Construction at Georgia Institute of Technology. With his education and experience, we are confident that he will help Attaway continue to advance and better serve our clients. During his time off, John enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, hunting and fishing. He is a member of the Augusta Country Club and Augusta Golf Association and volunteers at First Tee of Augusta.

Travis Newman also joined the Attaway team in 2016. He is our newest Superintendent and has been a major asset to our company. Travis has 15 years in the Construction industry, working as a Superintendent and owning a framing and drywall company. His goal is to ensure every step of the building process is done with an attention to detail and safety as his guide. Travis stays busy with all of our existing projects but when he has free time he loves to be on the water or in the air. He is currently taking flying lessons and is looking forward to flying on his own.

Melissa Tyler is our newest team member. She came on as our Public Relations Director. Melissa graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelor’s in Communications, Public Relations.  She has a background in branding and event planning that will bring a new element to the team. Her goal is to make sure our clients needs are met and then surpass them. Melissa volunteers as a CASA through Child Enrichment of Augusta. She is passionate about helping children who have been neglected. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

FINALLY, we bought a lot and started construction on our NEW OFFICE…

We are thankful for another GREAT year at Attaway and we look forward to 2017 with great expectancy!
